That's for security purposes, agewithgrace1.

QuickBooks Online lets you add attachments to your transaction to help you better manage your records. Our program sets limitation to the file types that you can attach to protect the security of your account.

These are our supported file types for attachments:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • DOC
  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • TIFF
  • GIF
  • XML

These are the transactions that can keep attachments:

  • Bills
  • Checks
  • Credit Card
  • Credit Memo
  • Customers
  • Delayed Charge
  • Estimates
  • Expenses
  • Invoices
  • Receive Payments
  • Refund Receipt
  • Sales Receipt
  • Vendors
  • Vendor Credit

To learn more about how attachments work in QuickBooks Online, you can read this article: Attachments in QBO. This also contains instructions on how to add an attachment to your customer and vendor profiles, as well as their transactions.

If you have further questions regarding this matter or need additional help in doing your task with QBO, please reach out to me by leaving a comment. I'm here to keep helping.
