QBO P&L report has changed

My P&L normally shows Cost of Goods Sold by "parent" account subtotaled, and Expenses by "parent" account and subtotaled.  However, today when I click on the Profit and Loss report, the Cost of Goods Sold are still organized by parent and sub accounts, but the Expenses are just all listed with no "parent" accounts or subtotals.  Any idea what happened?  I pull the same report every month and this is the first time this has happened.

 

Better yet, any idea how to fix this?  I need to close February books and can't until I can pull this report correctly.  

 

This is what it should look like:

Expenses
   700 BUSINESS DEV/MKTG
      7100 Advertisements
      7300 Branding/Marketing
         7310 Ad Development
         7320 Ad Management
         7330 Design Projects
         7340 Digital Marketing
         7350 Marketing Consulting
         7360 Media Planning

This is what it looks like now - with no subtotals:

QBO P&L report has changed

You've got my back, @KTS19.

 

I look into this further and found an on-going investigation (INV-55631) about certain accounts not reflected in the P&L report. Rest assured that our product team is investigating this issue. We hope to have new information for you soon. 

 

For you to be added to the list of affected users, it's best to reach out to our support team. This way, you'll be notified via email for any updates or resolutions. 

 

 Here's how:

  1. Click the Help icon and select Contact us.
  2. From the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) box, enter INV-55631.
  3. Choose Continue.
  4. Select either Chat with us or Have us call you.  

 

In the meantime, you'll have to run the Profit and Loss Detail report.

When do you expect this issue to be resolved?  Creating financials to close February was a nightmare because the P&L would not group and subtotal sub-accounts.

Hello there, KTS19. Hope you're well today.

 

I can see the importance of getting this issue resolved. For now, our engineers are still working on resolving this and we're not given any time frame when it will be sorted out.  As long as you've added to one of the affected users, you'll get any updates from this investigation. Still, I'd recommend following the recommendation shared by my colleague above.
