QBO Plus user was entering into AP with journal entries to make adj. Acct balances are all zero but AP Aging detail show every item. How can I clean up?

These were not entered properly thru Invoices and payments.  Now there tons of transactions in the AP Aging report that shouldn't be there.  How can I clean up / apply these items to clear them from the AP Aging?

Hi kcherubini,

You can link your journal entry to your bill payment by creating a dummy bill for the same vendor. Let me walk you through how.

  1. Click the Plus (+) icon. 
  2. Select Bill.
  3. Enter the payee's name in the Vendor's field.
  4. Go to the Item details sections and input some information in the Description field.
  5. Make sure not to enter any amount.
  6. Click Save, then choose the Make payment tab.
  7. In the Credits section, mark the box for Journal Entry.
  8. Click Save and close.
