QuickBooks Advanced Reporting not showing up

 When trying to install/open Advanced reporting for the first time I only see "Learn about Advanced Reporting" in the reports drop down list. I have made a user named Andrew and given it full permissions with the advanced reporting permission turned on as well. Any idea why it doesn't have the Advanced Reporting option?Untitled.jpg

QuickBooks Advanced Reporting not showing up

I'll help you access the Advance Reporting feature in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Andrew81.


It could be that there's an issue with user access itself or within your company file. This is the reason why it's not showing in the Reports list in one of your users. 


To test this out, you can create a dummy user account and check if it can access the report. Here's how: 


  1. Go to the Company menu and select Users. Then, click Users and Roles.
  2. Enter the admin Password, then select OK.
  3. From the User List tab, click New.
  4. Enter a User Name and Password.
  5. From the Available Roles, choose the user's role and select Add.
  6. Enter the User’s email address, then select OK.
  7. From the confirmation window, select OK.


Once done, provide the dummy account the same user access as Andrew and use it log in to your company file. Then, check if it can access the Advance Reporting feature.


If so, you can give the dummy account's information to Andrew and use it to access the report. 


If you're unable to access the report, you can run the Verify and Rebuild Data tools in your company file. This will help you identify the source of the issue and fix it.


In addition, you can customize your reports in QBDT Enterprise. This way, you can easily focus on the details that matter the most to your business.
