Budget Report

Is there a way to create a report using budgets that show current month, YTD current year, prior month & prior YTD year?

Thanks for joining the Community, NR2.


I'm here to help you create a budget report that shows the current month, current YTD, prior month and prior YTD amounts.


While there isn't a report that can show all those details, you have the option to run and customize the Profit and Loss Budget Performance report. Since this only shows one date range at a time, try customizing it and set the date range to This Month, Last Month and Last Fiscal Year-to-date.


Once done, you can export the report to Excel. From there, you can merge them and make the necessary changes.


Here's how:

  1. Click Reports at the top.
  2. Under Budget & Forecasts drop-down, select Profit and Loss Budget Performance.
  3. Click Next twice, then Finish.

By default, the date range of this report is set to This Month. You can manually change it to Last Month and Last Fiscal Year-to-date. Then, export it to Excel after this change.


Here's how:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow beside Excel.
  2. Select Create New Worksheet or Update Existing Worksheet.
  3. Update if needed.
