Currently, the ability to change the format of your purchase order is unavailable. While the feature is not yet available, you can visit our QuickBooks App center and check for any third-party applications that offer the feature your business needs.

Just in case anyone ends up here - looking for a solution to the "can't customize the horrible PO in QuickBooks Online" issue - this "SEARCH" leads to a big fat ZERO returns. So, don't waste your time.
This has been an ongoing issue with QuickBooks Online for over 2 years now. Numerous threads here in support all say the same thing:
1. Search for an "add on app" - which - there are NONE as of 6/28/2021!!!!!!
2. Ask our engineers very nicely - they really want to help add features. Which is a joke or it would have been done YEARS ago.

Yes, I did end up here searching for resolution. The very WEIRD thing is that when I set up one of my companies over a year ago, I WAS able to modify the PO template. Today when I print the PO, it defaults back to the horrible baseline...they had the capability and took it away - really????

WHY did I have the capability to change the PO template over a year ago and now do not have the capability??
WHY did you remove this capability from my company templates??
I know that having the capability to change the PO template is important to your business, @RSK1.
The capability of changing the PO template in the past was for beta testing. In addition, only a few of the users may have utilized this capability, this is the main reason why product developers decided to discontinue this feature.
To benefit from product experience, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. That said, they'll know that the capability to change the PO template is crucial while making transactions.
