Join nowQuickBooks prints 1099s using the Company Name for the Recipients Name field on the actual 1099 form. When you print the 1099 Summary report--which is useful tool to review the vendor's legal name and TIN/EIN--the totally irrelevant Vendor Name field is used in the 1099 Summary report.

The 1099 Summary reviews the cash outflows of each vendor whom you filed a 1099-MISC form. Customizing the report has some limitations in which the option to use the Company Name in the Vendor Name field is unavailable.
You'll want to run a separate report called Vendor Contact List to view the vendor's information. Then match it with the summary report.
