Can I get assistance with the credicard oprion on my invoices. the system does not allow me to add that option for my customers. When I turn it on I get an errormessage

it looks like you already have a payment account with us that needs to be updated. to enable this feature, close and reoopen QuickBooks now so we can update your acount I have done that and I still get the same eror message.Please advice

Hello, @ramonsbarraza.

 

You can use the credit card option for your invoices and allow your customers to pay them online if you have a QuickBooks Payments account connected to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). If you don't have an account yet, I suggest signing up for QuickBooks Payments, then connect it to QuickBooks.

 

There are a couple of ways to connect the payments account to QBDT. Either through the Customer menu or the Receive Payments tab.

 

To link the account through the Customer menu:

 

  1. Tap on Customer at the top menu bar, then select Link Payment Service to Company file. If you see a message about credit card protection, fill out the required fields and select OK.
  2. Enter your sign in information. 
  3. Click on Connect if you're new to payments and Transfer, then Yes, transfer if you're transferring your account.

 

To link your account through the Receive Payments, I suggest checking this article for your reference: Connect your QuickBooks Payments account to QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Once completed, you're now ready to email customers' invoices and allow them to pay online.

what if you see an error page "page can't be displayed".

I can help you fix that, John500.

 

The error message you've encountered is a sign of connectivity issues. Usually, clearing the cookies and cache in your browser (Internet Explorer) will resolve this error. There also times that you may need to change your internet settings so QuickBooks Payments can connect to our online services. 

 

Here's how to do it:
 

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Select the Gear icon at the top right of the browser window. 
  3. Choose Internet Options from the menu, then go to the General tab.
  4. Under Browsing history, click Delete.
  5. Select the following to delete:
    • Temporary internet files and website files
    • Cookies and website data
    • History
    • Passwords
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Close the Internet Options window and Internet Explorer.
  8. Close QuickBooks Desktop and open it again.

Alternatively, you can change the Compatibility View Settings in Internet Explorer to help properly display the webpages in QuickBooks Desktop:
 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top right of the browser window.
  2. Select Compatibility View Settings from the menu.
  3. In the Add this website field, enter https://*.intuit.com and select Add.
  4. Repeat this step for both https://*.intuit.net and https://*.quickbooks.com.
  5. When you're done, click Close.

Once it's rectified, you can now start sending online invoices.
