Can I insert a line onto an invoice so it's higher up not at the bottom?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, kathy-newby. Could you elaborate a bit more by "it's higher up"? If you are referring to line items and adding extra lines to an invoice, I will be delighted to show you how. If you are using QuickBooks Self-Employed online, it will automatic generate another line item. With the mobile app, you would need to select the Add another product or service to generate a new line item, as seen in the screenshot below. If you are not referring to this, could you follow up with a screenshot to better assist you?

I will be looking out for your response. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about customizing an invoice. Until then, take care and be safe.

I have a 3 page invoice.  When I was done I realized I forgot something that needs to be on page 1.  Is there a way to move it up or insert a line in the middle of an invoice?

Thanks.

Thank you for clarifying, kathy-newby. I truly appreciate it! Currently, the option to add a line or drag an item within the invoice is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Items are listed in the order it's added. What I can do is take note of this situation and provide feedback to our Product Developers to include this feature for upcoming programs. If you would like to keep in the loop, I encourage you to follow our blog to see the latest news and updates.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions you may have. The Community and I will do our best to assist you. Take care and be safe.

Yes, please add this function to the QB self employed invoice! Every month, invoicing takes longer than necessary because the lines cannot be moved/reordered/dragged/ nor added đŸ˜«

Thanks for visiting the QuickBooks Community, @SE-55321.

Finding new ways to adapt to our customers’ needs is how QuickBooks gets even better. Your feedback helps our Product Development team decide which feature will be implemented on the next future update. The change is also based on how popular a specific feature request is.

Since the option, you're looking for is currently unavailable and I can see how this feature would be beneficial to your business, I recommend giving feedback to the Developers. You may send your suggestion by going to the following link: Feedback Request. I’ll make sure to do the same thing on my end as well.

This line ordering has been a known issue as evidenced by other posts in this forum over a year ago.  Is the intention to only make this available in other higher level products?

For such a buggy limited program, it sure is over priced.
