Can I widen the message text box on the bottom of the estimate?

Without importing an entire new style (I amine with the templates mostly), can I widen the message box? I have a lengthy "terms of contract" and it makes a long column instead of going across the page. I know I can add a file, but then they are not signing the file. Need them to sign these terms and would rather do it all in once place. Thank you

Can I widen the message text box on the bottom of the estimate?

Good day, Majordave.

The message text box on the bottom when you create an Estimate is a default feature. There isn't a way we can widen this section. However, you can enter as many words as you can from there.

Feel free to read this guide about how to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

I appreciate you for joining the thread, @TDmash. Let me share additional information about adding text messages into estimates.

At this time, you can enter as many words from the Message field. However, the box is limited only. I understand that you have long Terms and Conditions to be added to your proposals. As a workaround, you can add them as attachments.

Here's how:

  1. Save the Terms and Conditions as a PDF file on your computer.
  2. Open the transaction you want to review and scroll down to the Attachments section.
  3. Tap on the Attachments hyperlink or field.
  4. Locate the PDF file of your Terms and Conditions.
  5. Click Open to add it to your proposal.
  6. Repeat the same steps for other entries.

You can also open this article for more information: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, if you need to fit in the Terms and Conditions on the Message field. I'd suggest sending feedback to our product developers. This way, they'll know how useful the feature is to widen the area and add more rooms for messages.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Hit Next.

Once done, your valuable suggestion goes to our designated team to help improve your experience in QBO. You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
