Does QB have software for a business checking account, so I can print checks, have a check register and do reconciliations, that would integrate with QB self employed?

Does QB have software for a business checking account, so I can print checks, have a check register and do reconciliations, that would integrate with QB self employed?

Hi there, Norseman.

The features that you've mentioned are available in QuickBooks Online. This version differs in functions from QuickBooks Self-Employed and so we are unable to integrate these two platforms.

I suggest switching QuickBooks Online to have the options you want to use for your business. Before doing that, you'll need to move your QuickBooks Self-Employed data to QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

1. From QBSE account, Click Reports at the left panel.

2. In the Tax details section, select a tax year.

3. Choose Download to get a tax details report. Download a report for each tax year you have.

Once done, download your transactions in a CSV file and upload them into QuickBooks Online. Please follow the steps below.

1. Click Transactions in the left panel from QBSE account.

2. Choose the transaction types, accounts, and time periods you want to download from the drop-down arrow.

3. Click the download icon to download the CSV file. Save it somewhere that's easy to find, like your Windows desktop.

After that, you can now sign up to QuickBooks Online.

Please check this article for additional information on how to successfully switch from QBSE to QBO and start following steps 4:Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
