Sometimes, an error message is caused by having too much data in your browser. To check if this is the cause, you can try performing the basic troubleshooting steps.
You can try accessing QuickBooks through an incognito window. Using private browsing doesn't store any local files. You can use these shortcut keys to use a private browser in your window:
For Chrome simply press Ctrl + Shift + N.
For the Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
For the Safari, press Command + Shift + N and make sure you're using the latest version.
Once you've opened incognito, you can go to the Chart of Accounts and try to click your inventory item there. If it works, you can go back your original browser and clear cache. Clearing the cache helps your browser work well. You can also use another compatible browser.
