Exporting to Excel from Desktop

Hi there, mttinc.

Welcome to the Community. Let's get this QuickBooks freezing behavior sorted out so you can export your report to Excel.

There are several possible reasons why QuickBooks freezes when exporting reports to Excel.

These are the following:

  • MS Office and QuickBooks versions are not compatible.
  • MS Office or QuickBooks installations are damaged.
  • There is a problem with the report or the data file itself.

In this case, you'll need to make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop is compatible with your MS Office. To know more about the QuickBooks Desktop system requirements, please refer to this article: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1762966-quickbooks-desktop-system-requirements.

Once verified that your MS Office meets your QuickBooks requirements, you can proceed to perform some troubleshooting steps to get the issue resolved.

To do that, please follow the outlined procedure found in this article: QuickBooks Desktop crashes when exporting report to Excel worksheet.

That should guide you on your way to successfully export your report to Excel.

Please let me know if you need additional help with this process. I'm always here to lend a hand. Have a great day.

Did you happen to update Office or QuickBooks since Friday?

And if you haven't already done so....   Close everything and Reboot.  Then check again.
