Grouping Customers

We are a non-profit Baptist Association. Our budget is funded by regular donations from the churches in our associations. When I receive their checks, I create a deposit and it is charged to contributions. 

 

I need to be able to run a report that will ONLY have the churches on it not any other deposits received. I thought I might could create a group and add jobs but I'm not able to designate each individual church. 

 

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm on a time crunch as always! I use QB Desktop Pro 2019 on PC.

Hi there, @tcba2016.

 

I appreciate you following and finding the instruction helpful. On the same report, kindly perform more steps to achieve your goal.

 

You have to use the Sort feature to group the transactions by contribution and totaled by customer. Just be sure to select Name and click the Refresh button.

Good day, tcba2016!

 

I can think a way on how to run a report with this. You can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Click Company at the top portion.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.

  3. Enter the account name or number and then click Search.
  4. Then, you'll have to double click the account.

  5. Click Customize Report at the upper left portion.
  6. Click Filter.
  7. In the account field, search name.
  8. Click the Drop-down arrow to select Multiple names.

  9. Mark a check to a specific customer fro your church associations.
  10. Click OK.

  11. Then, select All for the Dates in the upper right portion. (You can select the specific dates you want)

Thank you for the suggestion. That will work except that I need to be able to have a total by customer. Basically, I need a report that shows each customers' contribution totaled by the customer.
