I'll share steps where you apply the home office deductions and choose either the Simplified or Regular method.
Here's how:
- In QuickBooks Self-Employed, go to the Taxes on the left panel.
- Click the Annual tab.
- Go to the Home office expenses ▼ section.
- Click Add a home office or Current home office if you already entered the square footage.
- Select a tax year.
- Click the Simplified method or Regular method tab.
- Enter your estimated home office square footage.
- Hit Save once done.
