If you want to close your books to ensure everything looks good and prevents any accidental changes that could affect your reports. Please follow the steps below:
- Log in as a master admin or company admin
- Click the Gear icon⚙ and then select Accounts and Settings.
- Tap the Advanced tab.
- Click the Edit ✎ in the Accounting section.
- Tap the Close the books checkbox.
- Enter a closing date. Give yourself a comfortable deadline.
- Select the Allow changes after viewing a warning and entering a password option from the drop-down menu if you want to require a password before editing your closed books.
- Hit Save and then Done.
However, if you mean to cancel your QuickBooks Online account, here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon ⚙ and then Account and Settings.
- Click the Billing and subscription tab.
- In the QuickBooks section, tap Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
- Select Continue to cancel, then select the Continue to cancel button (if it shows on your screen).
- Follow the next steps.
- Select Submit and cancel subscription.
- Tap Got it.
