How do I collapse the detail on a Journal Entry Report

I'm here to provide you with some information about your Journal Entry report. 

Although this option would be great for other users like you, this isn't available in QuickBooks at this moment. I can personally submit feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in one of the upcoming updates.

At this time, we don't support any QuickBooks Desktop accounts that are three years older than the current year. I recommend updating to one of the latest releases that's available for you (2018,2019,2020). This will allow you to get the support you need to receive the best outcome of the product.

Here's how:

1. Open QuickBooks.

2. Go to Help.

3. Click Update QuickBooks Desktop.

4. In the "Overview" section, select Update Now. Note: This may take a few moments.

It's easy as pie!

The ability to collapse the details of Journal Entries using built-in reports in QuickBooks Desktop isn't available at the moment. I recommend checking out the Contributed Tab in the Report Center of QuickBooks Desktop to see if someone has contributed a report that would suit your needs. It's super easy to access. Check it out:

1. Go to the Reports menu, then Report Center.
2. Using the search bar to the right, input your search term and hit Enter.
3. Under the Contributed Reports section, take a look at the available options to see if one may suit your needs.
