Join nowMy new client's file is "hosted" by their current bookkeper, and the bookeepier bills them for the subscription. The client doesn't have their own QB account. I have an accountant's online version, as all my other online clients "host" their own files. I am taking over the accounting, and want the client to have the QBO under their name, and give me just the accountant's access. How do I do this? TIA
Thanks for the details, AKAZ.
Your client has to purchase their own QuickBooks Online account. From there, you can export and then import the file to their account.
Once imported, your client can add you as their accountant.
I've added these references when exporting and importing the file:
I'll be around if you need help. Keep safe!
Do your client have any access to their account? If they have any access as Company Admin, you may have 2 options to migrate the data.
Thank you - can you, please, explain?
You have to open a new blank QBO account
https:// quickbooks.grsm.io/US
https:// quickbooks.grsm.io/us-promo
then you may have 2 options to migrate data as Company Admin:
1. Utilize a migration tool
https:// transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo
2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service.
Thank you!
