I've got an idea to help make sure you're able to arrange your Chart of Accounts (COA) list in QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Select Chart of accounts from the Your Company section.
- Go to the Type column.
- Click the downward arrow ↓ to sort your COA in descending order or the upward arrow↑ to organize the list in ascending order.
If you have accounts that you no longer use, I suggest inactivating them. This way, you can add the ones that you want.
Also, you can run an Account QuickReport to review the transactions associated with it and ensure they're correct. To do that, click the View register drop-down, and then select Run report.
