How do I resend the email to an independent contractor requesting W-9 information?

Let me guide you through the steps on how to resend the email to your contractor.

1. On the left panel, hover your mouse on Workers and click on Contractors.
2. Select the contractor's name
3. Click Edit.
4. Remove Business ID No.(this can be either SSN or FEIN), and clickt Save. This way, the system will be triggered to provide a new invite option.
5. Hover your mouse on Workers, click on Contractors. 
6. Select the contractor's name
7. Click Send email.

When the business ID is removed it will not allow you to save

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the system will only send an email invite during the initial set up. You can update the email address from their profile but you can't re-invite them to complete their W-9 information. As a workaround, you can add them again as a new contractor and make the other one inactive.

To make them inactive, please refer to these steps:

1. In QBO, go to the Workers menu at the left pane to get to the Contractors page.
2. Locate the contractor, then click the drop-down under their name, then pick Mark as inactive.
