How do I start an inventory of my artwork?

Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, @dreamgivresstudi. I'll help you set up your inventory items here in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here in QuickBooks, you can set up your inventory items in just a few steps. To begin, you'll have to turn your inventory tracking on. These are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab.
  3. Select Edit (pencil icon) in the Product and services section.
  4. Turn on Show Product/Service column on sales forms. You can also turn on Price rules if you want to set up flexible pricing for the things you sell.
  5. Turn on both Track quantity and price/rate and Track inventory quantity on hand.
  6. Select Save and then Done.

For more information about how to set up and track your inventory in QuickBooks Online, you can refer to this article.

Once you're done, you can then proceed to add your inventory products. Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales and then Product and services.
  2. Select New or Add a product or service. Then select Inventory.
  3. Add a NameSKU, or Category for what you're tracking. Please note that categories lets you group your products and services together to make them easier to find.
  4. Select the unit from the Unit arrow dropdown.
  5. Select the category from the Category arrow dropdown.
