Join nowHello @sgshtrans,
Recovering a deleted transaction is unavailable. You'll want to recreate it using the details found in your Audit Log report.
I'm adding a reference here about recreating a bill and paying it. You can also pull a report of your vendor transactions.
Reach out to me if you need more help. Thanks!
HI
What about If the transaction was deleted a few weeks ago, can it be recovered?
if not I have entered a journal to replicate the transaction ir dr the expense code and cr the bank. How do I get this transaction to appear on the bank reconciliation?
Thanks
Thanks for joining this conversation, @PannaLadwa24.
Yes, it can be recovered. All you need to do is to follow the steps shared by my colleague above, which is to go to the Audit Log. You can locate the deleted transaction from there and use it as a reference when re-creating them again with the correct date.
Consider checking out this article for more information: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.
Once done, you can see that transaction by the time you'll do a bank reconciliation. Just in case, I'll add this article for future reference: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Please leave a comment in this thread if you have any other questions or concerns. I'll be more than happy to help. Enjoy the rest of the day!

Hi
I have found the item in the audit log. How do I recreate it or recover it as it was an expense downloaded from the bank statement?
Thanks
Panna
Hi there, PannaLadwa24.
It's good to know that you found the deleted transaction from the Audit Log. To recreate this transaction, go to the Expenses page and manually enter it and its details.
Here's how:
For additional information, you can refer to this article: Enter, edit, or delete expenses in QuickBooks Online. This also contains steps on how you can make any changes to the expense you created.
Please check this article on how to run a report that shows all payments made to vendors: Run a report with vendor totals.
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
HI
I have created the expense. How does this now appear in the bank rec? As the bank rec is still out of balance?
Thanks
Panna
Hello, PannaLadwa24.
I'd be glad to lend you a hand and get things sorted out. As an initial step, you can try to filter the Date to All dates to show all the transactions.
If you're still not seeing the transactions on the reconciliation page, I'd recommend checking the register associated with the Expense transaction. This is to verify the status of the transaction if it is C (Cleared), R (Reconciled), or Blank (not cleared nor reconciled). Also, I'd suggest checking the specific bank account associated with it as to why it isn't showing on the reconciliation page.
To help guide you more with the reconciliation process, you can to these articles:

Please fill me in if you have any other reconciliation concerns in QuickBooks Online. Have a good one.
Hi
Please could you give me the path to check if the item is reconciled R etc as im not sure how to check
Does the expense have to be Reconciled to appear in the bank rec?
Thanks
Panna
Thanks for getting back to us, @PannaLadwa24.
If the expense was already reconciled or marked as "R" in the register, it won't show in the bank reconciliation anymore. To verify this, refer to these steps:

Please know that I'm only a post away if you have any other questions or concerns. I'll be here to assist. Have a great day!
Thanks very much for your help.
I have reconciled the bank...but not sure why an expense item from Aug 19 for the same amount & supplier has appeared on the bank rec which I have taken a snapshot of.
This item wasn't there in Feb??
Thanks
Panna
Hi
Ive tried to copy screenshot/attach an attachment but I think it got detached when I sent the message
ThanksPanna
Thanks for getting back to us, @PannaLadwa24.
If this item shouldn't be included, you can manually mark this transaction as R (reconciled) in the register. This will stop the expense item from showing in the reconciliation process.
To do this, locate the transaction in the register by following the steps (1 to 3) I shared above. Then, in the Status (check) column repeatedly click the field to mark it as R.
Once done, you can proceed with reconciling your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Reach out to me in the comment section if you have any other issues or concerns, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I'm more than happy to answer them. Have a good one!
