Dear Raja,
Thanks for the clarification.
May I know if there is anyway to upload the account number by way of template instead of manually key in one-by-one?
Thanks for your response, @jasper-l.
By importing your chart of accounts, you can upload it together with the account number using a spreadsheet in Excel or CSV file format. Let me provide you the steps on how to upload the file in QuickBooks.
Here’s how:
I’m also including this article that provides additional information on using a spreadsheet to import your accounts and skip manual entry: Move your chart of accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Let me know how it goes, @jasper-l. Please click the Reply button below if there's anything else I can do for you, I'm always here to help.
Dear jasper-l
If you already created the chart of accounts you need to enter details one by one
if you are in the process of creating a chart of accounts use Excel or CSV file to upload
Also, note QBO won't allow you to upload duplicate accounts and the number of digits for account numbers need to be similar.
Dear all,
Thanks for the feedback.
Since there is already existing chart of account, means I have no choice but to enter manually one by one for the classification of each account name.
Was thinking if Quickbooks do provide the function of import the existing data for any amendment, it will prove greater help and ease of convenience.
TQ
Hello there, @jasper-l.
Yes, you can import your chart of account in QuickBooks Online. Let me share with you about this.
When you set up your company, QuickBooks customizes your chart of accounts for you. But if you need to, you can move over custom accounts or your existing accounts. In the meantime, make sure to import these columns in your spreadsheets.
Also, you can download our sample spreadsheet if you need more examples. Then, match your fields to QuickBooks Online fields.
