HOW TO: Create Sales Receipt Report?

We use sales receipts for immediate transactions. It creates an Order Number just like an invoice does. What I want is to pull a report daily showing the order number, date, & customer name. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to pull a report like this, as it seems only available for invoices under reports.

 

Any solution to this?

Hi, @Jacksonville.

 

Let's pull the Transaction List by Date report, then customize it to show the order number, date, and customer's name. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Reports tab on the left side, then type Transaction List by Date in the search box. 
  2. Hit the Customize button on the right side. 
  3. Choose a Report period in the drop-down arrow. 
  4. Under Rows/Columns, put a check on the Date, Num, and Name
  5. Hit Run Report

 

Also, saving the customization report is helpful too. It will help you save time since it automatically updates every time there are newly added transactions. You may refer to this article: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online
