How to track billable hours from TSheets and have them appear on my invoice in Quickbooks? What steps beyond having the employees select yes for billable hrs are there?

Invoicing your time from TSheets is very easy. I have the step-by-step process on how to do this after your employees enter their billable time. 

 

After your employees tag their billable work hours, all you need to do is to approve the time in your TSheets account. Next, you'll want to export the data to your QuickBooks Online company. From there, you'll have the option to add the billed time to your customer's invoice. 

 

Here's a step-by-step process: 

 

If you haven't already done so, sync your TSheets account with QuickBooks Online. One way to do this is to click the QuickBooks icon, then choose Import. You'll be given the options what data to import and other preferences.

Next, review your employees' time entries and approve it:

 

  1. Go to your TSheets dashboard, then choose Time Entries
  2. Choose the time entries that your employees created by clicking the Pencil icon. If you'd like to manually add one, click the + Add Time button (ensure to set it as Billable).
  3. After reviewing, click Save.
  4. Go to Approvals, then check the time you want to approve. 
  5. Click the Approve button. 
  6. Hit the Export Approve Time button to export the time data.

Finally, go to your QuickBooks Online account and invoice the billable time: 

 

  1. Click the + New icon, then choose Invoice.
  2. Select the billed customer.
  3. The right panel will appear. Simply click Add to add the billable time from TSheets.
  4. Enter other invoice details.
  5. Once done, click Save and close (or Save and send if you want to email it).
