You can customize the Transactions Detail by Account report to include the journal entries. Here's how to do it:
I hope this answers your concern. Let me know if you need anything else.
Allow me to take over and help get this resolved quickly. Let's get your journal entries to show up on your Transaction Detail by Account Report.
You should be able to customize the report to show the journal entries. As an initial troubleshooting step, let's start by opening a private browser to determine if the error is caused by the cache or not.
Here's how to open a private window in different browsers:
If this works fine using your private browser, let's go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.

I've been trying to do this from QuickBooks Online and it's frustrating how the functions on QBO do NOT do what they are supposed to do.
If going to the chart of accounts doesn't give you a transactions report, try going to the balance sheet and clicking the balance amount to generate one.
Thanks for joining this thread, anneaccountant.
Allow me to jump in and help ensure you're able to generate a report in the Chart of Accounts.
I've replicated this on my QuickBooks Online sample file, and it seems like it works fine since I was able to check all the transactions from Chart of Accounts when generating the report. In this case, you may follow the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague RoseMarjorieA this will help determine if this is caused by a browser.
If the issue persist, I recommend calling our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have the tools to do a remote session and investigate this further.

Hello there, @jbowman1611.
When running report/s in QuickBooks Online (QBO), journal entries will be included as long as it was covered on the date you've selected on the report. To resolve the issue, you can try following the troubleshooting steps provided above to run your report/s correctly.
If the same thing happens, you can create a dummy journal entry, then run a quick report on the account used on the entry created.
To run a quickreport:
In this way, you'll be able to check all the entries created under that specific account. If everything is fine from there and the entry is still isn't showing up on the report, I recommend getting in touch with our Support Team to check and investigate this further securely. Hopefully this got fixed by QB. I suggest run a General Ledger detail report as that is a standard report in any accounting system that includes all transactions for the date range that you select. This shows normal accounting transactions including all debits and credits by account number.
