Let's clear the app's data to get this working, @fashionablylatel.

At times, the stored data on the app may lead to unexpected behavior like being unable to take a snap with your receipts.

Here's how you can clear your app's data depending on the device that you're using.

For Android:

  1. From More Options ⋮, select Settings.
  2. Press on Refresh Data.
  3. Choose Yes.

For iOS:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Click on Refresh Data.
  3. Hit on Refresh.

After that, you can proceed with capturing and categorizing your expense receipts in QucikBooks Online.

I'm sharing this reference below to guide you on what are the actions that you can take if you've encounter issues while utilizing the QBO app: Here are some quick steps to fix most app-related issues.

That did not work. I think I must have hit deny and do not ask again when it asked if it could take pics or something when I was on that feature. Now I can't find where to reverse that at so quick books can take pics of receipts.

I believe I must have hit the deny and do not ask again button when it asked if it could take pictures of receipts. That is the only thing I can think of. And now I can't find out where to reverse that and say yes it can take pictures of my receipts.

Thanks for coming back to us, @fashionablylatel. I also appreciate you for trying the steps shared by my peer.

We can uninstall and reinstall the app so the option will pop again. Here's how:

For Android

  1. Go to Settings, then select Apps or Application manager.
  2. Tap QuickBooks.
  3. Click Uninstall.

Once done, go back and reinstall the QuickBooks app and ensure to approve the pop-up to get the snap receipt button to work.
