The ability to move this button is currently unavailable. However, I agree and can see how this being moved would be beneficial for you and your business. So, I submitted feedback to our product development team, so this could be considered in a future update.

the placement is AWFUL! I just deleted a whole invoice again, and there is noway to retrieve it! so frustrating!

THANK YOU! please tell the developers to move that button! I have deleted so many invoices accidentally and with no way to reverse it!
Any update from QB on this UI/UX issue? Having an important yet infrequently used button directly below a data entry field does cause productivity issues. Heck, the frequently used Print or Preview button feels hidden at the bottom.

Currently, we're unable to customize the user interface or the buttons when recording transactions like invoices. However, I'd encourage you to send feedback about this to our developers. Let them know how you want these buttons to appear. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
Please note that, although you sent feedback, the implementation of feature or update requests like this, depends on the demand. The more requests they receive, the more chances it'll be implemented.

Two years on and this is still seriously infuriating. Just entered 30-plus lines of a credit card itemization only for it all to disappear because of the absurd placement of the Clear All Lines button. At minimum, it should ask you if you're sure before proceeding. Or provide an undo option. Or do literally anything to make this stop happening. I've cleared all lines inadvertently more times that I've ever actually intentionally needed to do so - so I'd be more than happy to require more effort to make it so. Now to start the reentry process... yet again.
