I need to issue a refund check to a customer. Not sure how to do that in QuickBooks on-line.

It's my pleasure to help you with this, judycraigmile.

 

You only have to follow a few steps below to create a refund for your customer. 

 

  1. Go to the Plus(+)  icon.
  2. Select Refund Receipt under Customers.
  3. In the Customer field, click the drop-down arrow and choose the a customer.
  4. Enter the email address of the customer.
  5. Click the drop-down arrow in the Refund From field.
  6. In the Product/Service, click the  drop-down arrow and select an item.
  7. Then, click Save and Close.

 

I'm also including how you can record your customer's refund in QuickBooks Online.
