invoice columns

Hello,

I am trying to adjust columns in invoice? Tax and amount get a lot of space causing description and activity to wrap up in small space hense make a tall list (prints 2 pages).

I go to adjust labels widths and cannot let me adjust correctly , also when I adjust a column another one is auto adjusted by the system in "opposite" way!

Thank you

Best Regards

Let's check if the browser troubleshooting steps can fix the column adjustment issue, Andreas Achilleos.

Kindly start with clicking the Reload option beside the site's URL. Then, log out of your QBO account and restart the browser. This is to start the program from a clean slate.

If the column adjustment of your invoice is still incorrect, we can check if this issue is cache related. Open QBO in an Incognito window and review the adjustments there. If they look okay, go back to your previous browser and clear the cache.

You can also access QBO in a different web like Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla, so I'd suggest doing this task there.

I'll be right here for any updates. Feel free to leave a reply so I can get back to you. Thanks.

Hello

Thanks for the reply.

It is still the same. The thing is that the columns are not well adjusted within the quickbooks software. I can see that when I am at the adjustment page and not only when I am previewing or printing.

I tried that with different browsers and computers as well.

Thank you

@soellicha

Just curious - are you using US version or non-US version in QBO?

In the US version, they don't have a separate tax column in the invoice. In the non-US version, they do use tax column invoice style.

It is the non US version..

Hello there, @soellicha.

Thanks for the prompt response and for providing us your QBO version. I’m here to share some information about adjusting invoice columns.

Whether you have the US or non-US version of QuickBooks, you can modify the fields and adjust the width of columns on your invoices. Use the Custom Form Styles module to edit the layout, design and data fields that appear on your form. Here’s how:

1.    Go to the Gear icon and select Custom Form Styles.
2.    Click the New Style button and choose Invoice from the drop-down.
3.    Pick the Content tab where you can modify the data fields.
4.    Click on EDIT LABELS AND WIDTHS link to adjust the widths.
5.    Once done, save the invoice template.

Please know that adjusting the widths will affect the other columns as well. For more information, you may check out this article: How to customize invoices in QuickBooks Online.

That should do it. Let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I’ll be here to answer if you have any questions. Enjoy your day!
