Join nowHow can I pull a report to show all customers who have not been invoiced?
Hello, @Anicolee11.
Currently, pulling up a report that shows all customers who have not been invoiced in QuickBooks Desktop is unavailable. As a workaround, I'd suggest running Transaction List by Customer report, then filter it to Transaction Type, and choose Invoice. All customers show in the said report has have created invoices in the system.
Here's how:
3. Hit Customize Report at the top.
4. Click the Filter tab, then enter Transaction in the search box.
5. Elect Invoice in the drop-down.
6. Tap OK.
Next is, access the Customer Contact List to show all the customer's names and compare it to the Transaction List by Customer. That way, you can identify who does not have an invoice yet. Moreover, you have an option to print or download the mentioned report above. Let me guide you how:
5. Click Print drop-down.

What you are essentially looking for is a reverse of Accounts Receivable by Customer since a customer withoutnan open invoice has a zero balance. Transactions by customer list, customize to filter by type and exclude Invoices. Younwill be left with only customers who have paid sales receipts instead. Keep in mind paid invoices and unpaid (open) invoices can be filtered different. And that customers with open or closed invoces may also hace sales receipts.
Or Customer List and filfer to show only those with a zero balance.
Is there a way to make the Customer Contact List look like the Transaction List by Customer? I am exporting to excel to create pivot tables to compare the 2 and I would like for the customer name and job number to be broken out on the contact list like it is on the transaction list
Thanks for coming back, @Anicolee11. The option to generate a Customer Contact List by Customer report to make it look like Transactions List by Customer is currently unavailable in QuickBooks.
Exporting to Excel as you did is the workaround to achieve it.

I have over 500 jobs for just this year to look at. What is the easiest way to see which job hasn’t been invoiced?
Welcome back, @Anicolee11.
At this time, we don't have a report that shows which job hasn't been invoiced. As a workaround, you can consider following what @john-pero suggested, to run and customize the Transactions List by Customer report by filtering it by type and excluding invoices. This way, the report will show customers who have paid sales receipts instead.
