Is there a way to invoice a customer with multiple jobs/projects on one invoice?

It’s nice to see you in the Community, @Berna.

I’d like to share some information about invoicing multiple jobs/project in QuickBooks.

Adding multiple jobs/projects to one invoice is currently unavailable. You must create a separate transaction for each one.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Plus icon and select Invoice.
  2. Select a customer job or a project on Customer drop-down.
  3. Fill in the necessary information.
  4. Hit Save and new.

For more information, check out the following articles:

That should answer your concern for today.

Reach out to me if you have any questions, I’m always here to help. Take care and have a good one!

Thank you for your reply.  I'll continue to seek a workaround for this or possibly look at other software for this particular client.   Does anyone know of a different software/app that would enable you to invoice multiple jobs/projects on one invoice?

Thank you for your reply.  I will continue to seek a workaround for this customer hopefully using QuickBooks Desktop or QBO.  Does anyone know of another software or app that would work?

Thanks for coming back to the Community, Berna.

I'll join this thread to share some insights about the integration of third-party apps in QuickBooks Online or Desktop.

While we are unable to recommend a specific third-party application for QuickBooks, you can check out the customers' reviews in our App Center. This can help you decide the app that suits your business needs.

For QuickBooks Online, you can go to our App Center website. Or, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Apps on the left pane.
  2. Under the Find Apps tab, enter a keyword in the search box.
  3. Check out the details of the apps.

For QuickBooks Desktop, try searching in Intuit Marketplace.

Our Community Contributors and Established Backers might also be able to share their best practices on how to add multiple jobs on an invoice.

This information should help you get pointed in the right direction. I'd also appreciate if you can update me on how it goes. I'll be here if there's anything else you need. Have a great day.

I have the same issue and it seems that this would be a common request. I can't believe that QB hasn't developed a solution. If a customer wants "his/her" work invoiced on the same sheet as other projects, why can't QB make this an option? I can't believe this hasn't been requested more frequently.

I use QB Desktop Pro Plus 2020. Perhaps it is available on the online version. If so, please let me know and I will switch to online version immediately.

Thanks,

I see the importance of this feature, @jp20201

This will surely make your tasks in QuickBooks more convenient as possible. However, the option to create a single invoice with multiple jobs/projects is currently unavailable.

In the meantime, you can create a separate transaction for each one as suggested by my colleagues above.

You can always visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have. Also, the Firm of the Future site. It contains resources and tips to help easily use QuickBooks.

Let me know if there's anything that I can help. I'm always here to assist. Stay safe!
