Is there a way to mass inactivate Contractors? We just imported from QB Desktop and have all the contractors listed in the Workers page and it's a clutter.

Hi @cchow,

Currently, there isn't an option to mark your contractors as inactive in batch.

In the meantime, you can mark them as inactive but only one at a time. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Workers.
  2. Select Contractors.
  3. Find and click to open your contractor's profile.
  4. Select the Active drop-down menu.
  5. Click Mark as inactive.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can mark your contractor as inactive: How to Add, Edit and Inactivate Contractors?

If in case you need some tips and related articles for future use, you can always visit our QuickBooks Online Help Articles page for reference.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section down below. I'll be always around ready to help.

Hi @cchow,

Whilst it is not possible to batch update contractors as Inactive in QuickBooks Desktop directly it is possible to do that using a third party data import utility like Zed Axis that you find in the Intuit Marketplace, there is a 30 day demo version so you can try it out.

Hope that gives you another option.
