Re: Is there a why to make a company a vendor and a customer?
Technically, you can't but I know a few tricks that work a lot, goodrich_truckin.
QuickBooks Online does not allow the same customer, vendor, or employee name. Of course, there are really times where you need to have both in the system. That's why we offer different workarounds to achieve this.
Once of which is to add a square bracket [ ] on the other name. For example, if the vendor's name is Jane Doe, then you can enter the customer's name as [Jane Doe].
Aside from that, there's this one trick that was recommended by a user before which really works for me a lot. This is to add a different information on one of the names. Like if you only entered the vendor's first and last name, then you can enter the customer's name using their first, middle, and last name.
Just let me know which one works for you the most by leaving a reply. Thanks.
