Yes, we can customize how your invoices look like. Let me give a quick guide on how to do it:
Here's an article for reference: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
If you have your own design, you can also try importing it to QBO: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates.
We'll be right here if you have more questions about the customization. Have a great day!
Thanks, but I am not sure this addresses my question. I do know that I can customize how the invoice looks when printed, but my problem is that when I am preparing the invoice, the template there within QB, the font is too small and light grey and I have a hard time seeing it- leading to typing errors. It is not the final, printed version of the invoice that I am trying to adjust. I know how to do that.
Unless, your solution here works for the data entry part of the invoice preparation as well. I will check that out and see if it works.
Thanks for getting back to us, diane-fujimoto.
You can only customize the invoice template when you're trying to print it. We're unable to change the font color when creating an invoice.
To increase the font size for better viewing of your invoice, you can press the "Ctrl" key and the "+" sign simultaneously on your keyboard. Or, hold the "Ctrl" key and then scroll up.
You can visit our Help article page in case you got other QuickBooks concerns, such as setting up advanced reports, online banking, manage reconciliation, transactions, import and export data lists, etc.
I'm only a few clicks away if you have any other QuickBooks questions. Take care!
