Is There Such a Report as Statement of Cash Flows by Class?

I have a client who owns a large portfolio of rental properties, which are tracked by class. He wants to obtain a Statement of Cash Flows by Class. I've tried several ideas I had (20+ year QB user) but have not been able to put anything together for him.

How can we create such a report?

Thanks!

Hi HomesteadLife,

You can customize the Statement of Cash Flows to include the classes. However, you'll have to double-click the amount of each account to see the class column.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click Reports located at the top.
  2. Select Company & Financial and choose Statement of Cash Flows.
  3. Select the Dates, and click the Customize Report button.
  4. Click the Filters tab.
  5. Type Class in the search box, then select the classes from the drop-down list.
  6. Click OK.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions or concerns about QuickBooks. Thanks.

Go to Memorized Reports List and make a new Group. Name it Cash Flow by Class.

Make one version of Cash Flow, filtered On a Class. Retitle it for that class and Memorize it in this Group. Do that for each Class. Now your client can double-click the Group to run all reports at once.
