Join nowI have managers that are over specific cost centers. I would like a manager to be able to pull reports for his cost center/Class only. Some managers are over multiple sub classes under a main class.
Printed reports don't give the ability to drill down to what makes up the number.
Is there a way to accomplish this in QBO?
Thanks for your feedback
Dale
Hi Dale, I'm glad to have you here.
Yes, there is. To accomplish this task, you can invite them as Report only users. They can only see all reports, except ones that show payroll or contact information.
The steps below will guide you through the process:
Once done, an email will be sent to your managers. Let them know that they need to accept it to access your book anytime using a web browser and mobile app.
Note: QuickBooks listed on what users can and can't do when choosing access right for them. In case you want to add them as another role, we're unable to eliminate specific access, such as editing details from sales transactions.

What kind of business do you run? You may need a project management app.
Hi - thank you for getting back with me. This doesn't seem to allow me to control what the manager can see. I need them NOT to be allowed to see other classes and subclasses.
Is there a way to limit the report?

4. Hit Upgrade your plan.
5. You will be presented with options for upgrade along with its features and pricing.
6. Click Upgrade for the product you want.
7. If prompted, enter your payment information.
8. Confirm the upgrade and your new billing, then select Confirm Upgrade.
You can read this article for more details: Add and manage custom roles in QuickBooks Online Advanced.
Feel free to check the guides here if you want to add or delete user access.
Add a comment below if you have further questions about managing users. I'll be here to help you.
Explore these project management apps to integrate with your QBO. Your project managers and their teams don't need to access your QBO account.
