Hi there, @Next Generation Kody.
Thanks for asking us here in the Community. I know how relevant for your business to run a report by service date.
At this time, the only option we have for you is to edit the invoice template by adding the service date column. This way, it will appear in the Display tab when you customize to add this column to your reports.
I'll show you how:
- Go to the List menu, then select Templates.
- Choose the invoice template you'll want to edit, then select Edit Template from the drop-down menu.
- Click Additional Customization, then select the Columns tab.
- Put a checkmark in the Service Date section.
- Click OK.
Then, follow these steps to add the service date information to your customer's profile:
- Click the Customer menu, then select Customer Center.
- Double-click the customer name, then go to the Additional Info tab.
- Click Define Fields, enter Service Date.
- Tick if its Customer, Vendor, or Employee.
- Click OK.
Once done, run and customize a report to show the service date on the column. Here's how:
- Go to the Reports menu, then select Customers & Receivables.
- Choose Transaction List by Customer, then click Customize Report.
- Type Service Date and tick the box in the Display tab, then click OK.
Additionally, you may want to create a memorized report to save these settings for your future use.
Keep posting and aks us anything here in the Community, @Next Generation Kody. I'd be glad to be your QuickBooks guide and answer all your concerns.
