Since converting from desktop to online I am unable to add item details in invoices or bills from vendors. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

I have tried clearing internet cache to rule out browser issues. Any other options I have overlooked?

No there is not, QBO much less functional than desktop

As Rustler stated above, this is not an available function for invoices in QBO. However, you can add item details to a bill.

To show the item details' column on a bill, you'd click the triangle icon next to it. Please see the screenshot below:
