Square Sync with Quickbooks - Not Matching Items (SKUS)

So I recently switched back to using Quickbooks full-time. We were using an inventory management system. Upon install of Square Sync app we imported a few days of transactions to see if they would work correctly. Our products have different naming to the ones in QBO vs Square, however the SKUs are all the same obviously. When QBO imports transactions is keeps making the default "Square Item" and will not match to my inventory items in QBO. So for every single transaction I keep having to manually go in and change every single transaction that comes though so our inventory will balance.  I called Quickbooks support however they were not really any help and basically told me I was SOL. However when reading online, it should match to my SKUs? Any help would be appreciated.

Let me give you an overview about the third party applications and how it works in QuickBooks Online.


The information we receive is dependent upon the third party application, which is the Square App.


With regard to the integration and import process while tracking inventory, I suggest that you reach out directly to Square. They can give you accurate information and sort the issue immediately.
