Join nowDoes a report exist to be able to report on costs recorded against a project? The profitability report does not work for me as not all expenses are recorded against an expense account - for capital projects I am allocating to asset accounts.
Hi there, @Rusty1968.
Let me get the help you need in running the report you need.
To have the Project profitability report show all the expenses recorded against the project, ensure that all purchases made are linked, to a customer/project.
To verify, open the expenses and check if it has a customer/project on the transaction. Once done, run the Project profitability report. It should now show all the cost of a project.

Balance Sheet Costs do not appear on the project report. Is there a way to capture capitalized expenses in the project reports?
I appreciate you for joining the thread, @mjhantsche.
I'm here to help you with tracking your reports accordingly.
Costs under the project name from the Balance Sheet report must also post to your Project report. If it's now showing up, let's make sure that both reports have the same data for an accurate result. You can modify the dates from the Report period section.
