What can I do if my account doesn't show up in the Connect an account page? I have several HSBC accounts but one of them doesn't show up. Tried disconnect and connect.

There are several possible reasons for not being able to link a bank/credit card to QuickBooks, such as a connection error or that not all types of accounts are able to connect. Let’s get your bank connected to your company by entering its URL in the Connect an account page.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking tab on the left panel and select Banking to access the Bank and Credit Cards page.

  2. Then, tap the Add account menu to open the Let’s get a picture of your profits window.

  3. Input the financial institution’s URL in the field box to display its website.

  4. From there, check the account summary or account details.

If you’re able to access the account successfully, log out of the bank’s website and continue to add the account in QBO. However, if none of these suggestions work, I recommend requesting support for the account.

 

To send it, follow the recommended steps in this article and proceed directly to the Request support for your bank section: Online Banking.


Alternatively, use the WebConnect feature to bring these transactions and import them to your company.

Thank you so much for your response.
The problem with me is that I have all other accounts from the same bank(HSBC- Hong Kong) successfully connected. Just one of the accounts is not showing under the 'Which accounts you want to connect?' page no matter how many times I tried to reconnect, it was working before.
 
I've been using webconnect (manually upload) for a while now. Do you have other thoughts that might solve my problem? Thank you!

Thank you for the detailed information.

 

You'll have to click on + Add new from the drop-down to resolve this. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. Go to Banking, then Banking at the top.
  2. Choose Connect account, or Add account if you've already created an account.
  3. Search your bank and then Continue.
  4. Click + Add new from the drop-down to create a new account on your Chart of Account.
  5. Hit Save and Close. Then, continue with the date range for downloading transactions.
  6. Tick Connect.

Hey thanks for your reply.
That's helpful but my problem is the other way round. I could not see the account after connecting to the bank (the missing account is on the bank side, not QBO side), I already have that account in my chart of account.

I'd like to help you sort this out as soon as possible, but it would require me to check your account. I suggest contacting our support team. They have the necessary tools to check your account securely. 

 

From there, they can look deeper into the root cause of why you're unable to see the account after connecting it to your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Here's how to get in touch with them in your QBO:

  1. Go to the (?) Help icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief discussion of your concern and click Let's talk.
  4. Choose your preferred way to get in touch with them (Start messaging or Get a callback)1.PNG
