Join nowI'm trying to set up a custom e-mail address within the receipt management center so we can forward our e-mail receipts. This is my first time so I'm having to set up the custom e-mail for the first time, and every time I try to make the e-mail it says "email contain invalid word" and doesn't let me set the e-mail up. I've tried tons of different things, and I keep getting that error message no matter what I type. I've already tried simply restarting Quickbooks and trying again. Is there any way to fix this??
We have QuickBooks Pro Plus 2021 Desktop.
Great day, @TrinitySiloam.

Hi, thank you for your response!
When I try to complete step 4 of your instructions, I keep getting the error message "email contain invalid word." Now, the text box already has "@qbdesktopdocs.com" added on at the end, and is only asking for the first part of what we want the custom email to be.
However, because I kept getting an error message, I tried entering our desired email both with AND without "@qbdesktopdocs.com".
When I enter it WITHOUT adding "@qbdesktopdocs.com" to the end, I get the error message "email contain invalid word."
When I enter it WITH "@qbdesktopdocs.com" on the end, I get the error message "enter valid email."

To check if there's any date damage, let's run the QuickBooks built-in diagnostic and repair tools called rebuild and verify data utilities. These tools will repair and notify you of any possible data damage within the file.
Here's how:
If QB detected no problem with your data, hit OK and double-check if the date is already correct. However, if it finds an issue, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors. Choose Close, then perform the steps below. Here's how:
For additional information about the process, consider checking out this article: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
Reach out to me in the comment section if you have any other issues or concerns. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately when I tried this, it said there was no problem with my data and I'm still having the same error as before.
Let's get you to the right support team who can check the error, TrinitySiloam.
Since you're getting the same results after running the verify and rebuild data, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Live Team. They can do screen-sharing and guide you through the process in setting up the email address. They'll also check what's causing the error to show up.
Here's how to get in touch with them:
In the meantime, you can upload receipts via phone, please check out this link for instructions and detailed steps: Upload receipts to QuickBooks Desktop.
