When printing Registers how to get the actual name of the customer in deposit field instead of Undeposited Funds?

There isn't really a way to do that as the name isn't on the deposit summary amount - the accounting line that uses the bank account.  Instead, the name(s) are on the detail lines of the deposit.

QuickBooks Team

Hello there, @Janet32.

I'm here to share some information on how printing registers work in QuickBooks.

The Deposit field or column indicates the amount that was deposited to your account. The name of your customer can be found in the Payee's column. I've added the screenshot below for your reference.

On the other hand, here's how to print your register in QuickBooks:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Choose Use Register.
  3. Pick the bank account you'd like to view.
  4. Click the File menu.
  5. Select Print Register.
  6. From here, select the Date Range you'd like to print for.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Hit Print.

Get back to us here if you have other questions about managing your registers in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
