Reorganizing accounts and reports

I would like to re-order various accounts so that they more closely align with the way our parent organization groups our expenses for budgeting.  Our prior fiscal year has been closed.  If I re-order these expenses, then run reports from the prior period, will these reports now be in the new grouping, or the old?

Yes, when you change the structure of your accounts, that will reflect in your previous fiscal year's reports as well. You can try this on the sample company files before changing anything on your record to gain confidence and to avoid making mistakes.
