CYBER MONDAY SALE 70% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends 12/5
Buy nowI recently purchased Quickbooks for Mac 2022. One issue I cannot seem to resolve is that when I create a report, such as an "Item list", I cannot seem to apply "Filters". Generally, I would be able to enter a "preferred vendor", and my item list would then display just items from the specified vendor (As opposed to my entire item list). I enter the filter, but cannot seem to figure out how to "apply it", and the list displayed does not change. Is there a 'button" I must click to apply this filter that I am missing? Previously, just selecting a filter led to the filter automatically being applied. What am I missing??? or is this a bug?
Thanks in advance
James
Any suddenly I just got it to work.....not sure what I just did differently but I guess problem solved!
Hello there, @GothamAuto. I've got you covered, and I'll ensure you can get through this so you can apply filters in your reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Before we proceed, know that once you've selected a filter that you want to add to your report, QuickBooks automatically applies your chosen filter to the report.
If the issue persists, I recommend performing verify and rebuild data troubleshooting. Performing this will help you ensure there are no data issues in your company file. I'll input the steps below so you can proceed to verify your company file data. To begin, here's how:
If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check” you need to rebuild your file. If there are no problems with your data, you’re done.
See this article for more details about how to rebuild your company file date: Verify and rebuild data in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Additionally, here's an article in case you'd like to use custom forms in QBDT: Customize form templates in QuickBooks Desktop for MAC.
You can also check this page about editing an item in QBDT: Add, edit, and delete items.
@GothamAuto, If there's anything else that you'd like me to help you with, Or you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. Know that you can always get back to me. It'll be my pleasure to help you out again. Take care, and enjoy the rest of the day!
