I hope this is possible. I have tried to find something I could use.

I need a report to show me items attached to estimates by customer name.

Please help.

Re: Report

Hey there, @Kphelan2018,

It's great to have you here today. I can share some information about the estimate report you want to generate.

Since estimates are non-posting transactions, we're unable to generate a report showing the items unless they are invoiced. If you already converted the estimates to invoices, you can generate a Sales by Product/Service Detail report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Choose Industry Specific then Manufacturing and Wholesale Reports.
  3. Pick Sales by Product.
  4. Click the Customize Report button.
  5. In the Displaysection, update the Report Date Range.
  6. Tap the Filters tab.
  7. From the Filter list, choose Posting Status.
  8. Select Non-Posting.
  9. Hit OK.
  10. In the Show Columns  drop-down, select Customer: Job.

That should give you the report you need. You may want to check out this article to know more about customizing reports in QuickBooks: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop

Please let me know how it goes by posting a comment below. Have a good one!

Re: Report

Thanks for the input. I tried this and it still didn't bring up just the estimates. My boss doesn't like to create invoices until the job is complete so I must order supplies by the estimates only.

Re: Report

Thanks for joining us back again in this thread, @Kphelan2018.

Currently, we don't have a specific report to show items on the estimates classified by customer name. However, I have two other reports you can try to get the information you need.

You can run and customize the Estimates by Job or the Job Estimates vs Actuals Summary report. Both reports provide a list of estimate transactions per job. However, you'll have to open each transaction to get the item details.

For additional references about the reporting feature, you can check the following links:

I want you to know I'm taking note of your feedback to pass along your insights and suggestions here on my end.

Keep me posted if you have other report questions I can help with. I'm just a post away. Have a good day.
