I know how quickly you can complete tasks if you can conveniently do any activities with QuickBooks. What you mentioned isn't recommended. The features exclusive to QuickBooks Online Plus will be unavailable if you downgrade it. Then, you cannot generate the report you need moving forward.

Also, if you utilize the Plus version, its features should always be active so that your report will produce the necessary data.

thanks for the quick reply.  I guess what I am asking though is if I downgrade then upgrade it later in the year will  I be able to generate the report for the whole year? I don't need it during the year at all, only year end at tax time.  Please let me know as I assume there is no way just to downgrade and pay to have that one report.

I understand the report's value at the end of the fiscal year. However, some are only available for certain subscription levels.

Although you can generate the report for the whole year once you've upgraded in November or December, otherwise, it isn't possible if you downgrade since features are exclusive to the QBO Plus version.

ok Carneil, so i can run the report if I upgrade in November/December,  I can run the list report for the whole year correct?

You're correct, @dave3123236. 

Once you upgrade, you'll gain access to reports and features that you do not have now. Please note that you will lose access to those same features and reports once you downgrade again.
