Sales Receipt Recurring Transaction Shows in Unapplied Cash Income

I have a recurring Sales Receipt set up in Quickbooks Online in order to charge a client in an ongoing basis every month. The Sales Receipt is set with one line item in the Services Income account. However, when the payment occurs Quickbooks is putting it into Unapplied Cash Income. If I create an invoice and then receive against this, then my Sales By Client Summary shows double revenue. What is the correct way to have the Sales Receipt income go into the correct income account?

It sounds like the recurring sales receipt is not being matched to the deposit that comes into the bank feed, that is why it is unapplied. Make sure that your recurring sales receipt is setup to deposit to undeposited funds. You will then need to make a bank deposit that matches the deposit amount that comes into your bank feed, which can include multiple deposits per day.
