This thing you're experiencing is just an adverse effect of our ongoing program enhancement. Currently, our developers are working diligently to complete these enhancements as soon as possible. Once its completed, you'll surely won't be able to experience this behavior again.
For now, you can enter your email information in the cc field before emailing the invoice. This lets you receive the invoice as well which an indication that it was sent successfully.
